  • Notes
    • Thomas Milton, is believed to have been Thomas Melton who came to New South Wales as a convict aboard the "Aurora", at the age of 18 or 19 years. He was born in London, England on 5 Aug 1815. He was a protestant and could not read or write. He had been convicted at Middlesex on 8 April 1833 for stealing boots and sentence to (you guessed it), 7 years transportation. He was 5 feet 3 1/4 inches (151cms)in height, ruddy complexion, his face was pox pitted (acne scars?) and freckled, brown hair, hazel eyes, 3 white skin blotches on his neck and tattoos on his arms. He was a shoemaker and later a carrier. He died on 27 February 1859 6 days after having been bitten by a centipede.
