  • Notes
    • Olive was the 5th child in a family of eleven. Her father was born at Tullamore, County Clare, Ireland in 1864 and her mother was born at Sittingbourne, Kent in 1872. Olive moved with her parents and 7 siblings to Kyancutta in 1917. Her father had been allocated sections 22 and 27, Hundred of Mambling in 1916. Olive was a real pioneer of the area. She endured hardships in the first years of her marriage and the lean years of the depression. After her children had grown some of them moved to New South Wales and Queensland looking for greener pastures. When Tom died Olive lived for a while in Port Lincoln and then in October 1982 she moved to Emerald in Queensland to be near her daughter Fay, She died there aged 87 but was returned to Port Lincoln to be buried with her husband. She was mourned by a large family gathering of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. (The Tucker Family in Australia, 1992)
