Lance Corporal Neill Branch Campbell
Studio portrait of VX9022 Lance Corporal Neill Branch Campbell, 2/5 Battalion of Toorak, Victoria. Campbell initially enlisted in the militia with the service number V81913, before discharge and enlistment in the 2nd AIF. He embarked for the Middle East serving with Headquarters, 2/5 Battalion and was promoted to the rank of Corporal. Corporal Campbell was wounded in action in Syria and died of these wounds on 12 July 1941, aged 26.
