Preshute Church of England Primary School, Preshute, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England
Preshute Church of England Primary School was opened in 1833 when the vicar formed a school as the parishioners of Preshute were considered illiterate. The school was rebuilt in 1845 and by 1858 there were 20-30 children at the school plus 20-30 infants, who were taught in a cottage. Numbers grew and in 1894 the school was enlarged as pictured here, and by 1906 there were 75 pupils, with over 100 attending by 1910.
