    Notes:

Tom was only 4 years old when his mother died and he and his brother Cyril went to live with their grandmother Miriam Jane Hawkins at Warnertown South Australia. In October 1907 he was taken by his father to the farm at Wanilla, South Australia, where he lived until 1912 when the family moved to Cummins, South Australia. There Tom worked on farms until 1918 when he and Cyril joined their father at Kyancutta. Tom shared the family love of horses. He was the proud owner of a show horse named "Cinders"; he won many events for horse and sulky at the Wudinna Show. When he and Olive married, they lived close to his father on Section 31, Hundred of Wannamanna. Later Section 18 was added to the farm. In 1949 Tom and Olive moved to a new farm at Lock while his son Dudley stayed on the farm at Kyancutta. Tom and Olive retired to Port Lincoln in 1956 where they lived in London Street. They joined the Kirton Point Bowling Club and enjoyed many years of retirement and played many bowls tournaments in South Australian country towns and Broken Hill New South Wales. Tom died of Cancer at 73 in 1974 and is buried at the Happy Valley Cemetery in Port Lincoln. (The Tucker Family in Australia, 1992)

Thomas married Olive Alice McGuiness on 29 Jan 1922. Olive (daughter of William McGuiness and Harriet Garrett) was born on 25 Nov 1902 in Seacliff, South Australia, Australia; died on 20 Oct 1989 in Emerald, Queensland, Australia; was buried in Valley View Rd, Port Lincoln, South Australia, Australia. Notes:

Olive was the 5th child in a family of eleven. Her father was born at Tullamore, County Clare, Ireland in 1864 and her mother was born at Sittingbourne, Kent in 1872. Olive moved with her parents and 7 siblings to Kyancutta in 1917. Her father had been allocated sections 22 and 27, Hundred of Mambling in 1916. Olive was a real pioneer of the area. She endured hardships in the first years of her marriage and the lean years of the depression. After her children had grown some of them moved to New South Wales and Queensland looking for greener pastures. When Tom died Olive lived for a while in Port Lincoln and then in October 1982 she moved to Emerald in Queensland to be near her daughter Fay, She died there aged 87 but was returned to Port Lincoln to be buried with her husband. She was mourned by a large family gathering of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. (The Tucker Family in Australia, 1992)
