  Mary Cummins told me that she received a card from Lois Zena Donnelly (n. Smith) advising her that Carl passed away on 18 October 2013. Lois and Carl went on the Indian Pacific to Perth, then drove across the Nullabor to Sydney, where Carl was to play golf in the Master Builders Tournament. Unfortunately he only played 9 holes and had a heart attack on 14 October 2013. His life support was turned off on 18 October 2013, he was cremated in Sydney, New South Wales. [4]
