Name |
Samuel Bidgood Duffield |
- Innkeeper at Canning Bridge named Bridges Inn. First licensed May 1850. There were no farmers or settlers in the area so trade depended on passing travellers and itinerate workmen camped nearby in search of timber and firewood.
1854-1881 Lighthouse keeper Rottnest Island.
There was a large attendance at his funeral and by his will, he left everything to his daughter Lydia who never married.
