Notes |
- Bertie was born at "The Hermitage", Owen. Like his older siblings he was educated at the Grace Plains school when he wasn't helping on the farm. He also had some schooling at Pinery. He moved to the farm in Owen called "Wilderness" in 1913. They worked hard on the farm and were devoted members of the Owen Methodist church. Bert Sang in the choir and was a member of the Order of Knights. Minnie was member of the Ladies' Guild and held an office of President for several years. She also attended the C.W.A. In 1968 Bert and Minnie Moved into the township of Owen where they stayed until their death. (The Tucker Family in Australia, 1992)
