Notes |
- Linda attended school at Inkerman and Owen. She possessed a pleasant soprano voice and sang in the Owen Endeavour Choir, before transferring to Mallala with her parents. She sang for many years in the Mallala Methodist Choir and also for some time in the Glee Club. She was a Sunday School Teacher before she was married. She was essentially a homemaker, cared for her family and assisted her husband in many ways in his farming pursuits.
Both Linda and Allan Turner were members of the Mallala Methodist Church, taking part in all activities. Allan was a member of the choir in the old church used before the new one (now Uniting Church) was built. he was a trustee of the church for many years and served a term as a Council member for a ward. He was also a Trustee for the Feltwell Cemetery when it belonged to the Methodist Church. It is now the Mallala Council Cemetery. Both Transferred membership to St. John's Prospect North when they left the farm to retire in Prospect. (The Tucker Family in Australia, 1992)
