    • Howard share farmed at Pinnaroo, then bought land at Paruna for 6 pounds per acre. This same land was sold for 2 pounds per acre, owing to the depression prices. Wheat was 1 shilling 6 pence per bushel at the time. Howard worked for a time at Meadows in the hills for a carrying business. He then went back to farming, taking up land again. He now lives at the Masonic Village, Somerton South Australia. (The Tucker Family in Australia, 1992)
